IT ALL STARTED IN 1897

Our story begins in 1897, with the founding of stock and station agents JA McGregor & Co in Warialda NSW. Over the years JA McGregor & Co grew to become one of the most respected and well known agencies in the North West and through the generations the business gradually expanded into machinery, cropping inputs and farm merchandise.

In 1987 JA McGregor & Co was looking to expand westwards and so with a group of experienced partners formed McGregor Gourlay Agricultural Services based in Moree NSW. Since then the business has continued to expand to become one of the most dynamic privately owned rural services companies in Australia, employing over 120 Staff across 13 branches located across North West NSW, the NSW Northern Rivers, and the South West QLD Border Regions.

JA McGregor Livestock and Property today offers customers a highly customer focused approach and specialises in a full range of livestock and real estate agency services. The associated business of McGregor Gourlay offers services in the areas of chemicals, fertiliser, seed, agronomy services, rural merchandise and water equipment.

Both JA McGregor Livestock and Property and McGregor Gourlay call upon 120 years of service to the area, through some of the best and toughest times the local agricultural community has experienced. With this tradition in mind, together with a wealth of knowledge and experience, our staff proudly strive to build enduring partnerships with leading service providers and customers for the reliable supply of all their agricultural services and needs.
